A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of a white garment church cleric, Olorunfemi Adebowale, at the correctional centre in Ado-Ekiti for raping a 13-year-old girl.
The prosecutor, Olumide Bamigbade, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 16.

Bamigbade said that Adebowale, a shepherd at Celestial Church of Christ, lured the girl and had intercourse with her several times.
The Magistrate, Saka Afunso, ordered the remand of the accused pending advice from the DPP and adjourned to October 17.
