The parents of the abducted students of Government Giris Technical College Dapchi, Yobe state are in suspense on whether their children are among those rescued from the Boko Haram terrorists.

Our correspondent gathered that the parents and relatives of the girls had stormed the school as early as 5am to wait for their arrival.

Daily Trust reports on Thursday that some of the schoolgirls rescued by Nigerian military were received all agog by Gaidam residents and were taken to the military base around 9:45pm.

A Teacher in Dapchi, whose daughter was among the missing students said he cannot confirm whether his daughter was among the rescued students.

"We are hopeful that they were all rescued. We only heard rumors that the rescued pupils are 90, while some said 67 but no official statement has clarify this number. We wish that all of them will reunite with their parents safely", she said.

Another mother, Amina, said she couldn’t sleep last night waiting for the dusk to reach the school area.

"I am today in a state of intense emotion. Happy that our children have been rescued, and on the other hand praying that my should be among those rescued", she said.
