Parent demands justice for 400-level varsity student stabbed in Kaduna

The father of a 400-level Computer Science student at Alkalam University Katsina, AbdulRahman Adamu Sani Store, who was stabbed by another youth in Rigachikun Community of Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State, is seeking justice.

Store alleged that his son was stabbed about three times with a knife by a youth in the community.

According to him, the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on June 26, 2024, as his son was heading home along Danmori Street within the community.

“My son was stabbed about three times in the stomach with a knife and had to undergo surgery at Barau Dikko Hospital. I just need justice for my son.

“I was told my son simply navigated a car parked in the middle of the road on his way home, unknowingly angering one of the boys inside the car. They followed and stabbed him. After that, they escaped,” he said.According to him, community elders have reported the incident to the Commissioner of Police due to the suspect’s connection to a prominent politician in the community, seeking justice for the victim.

Daily Trust gathered that the victim, who is currently unable to speak properly due to his condition, is in a stable condition and recovering after undergoing surgery.

The state Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, could not be reached on the phone for comment on the matter.
