Panic in Kano community as parents rush to withdraw children from schools

The atmosphere is currently tense in Sabongari, the Kano community where an explosion occurred  in the early hours of the day.

Daily Trust had reported how the explosion which occurred beside a primary school sparked tension in the community.

With reports on social media claiming a school was attacked, parents have been rushing to schools in the area to withdraw their children.

Shops have also been closed, with some reports saying hoodlums are already taking advantage of the commotion to break into people’s houses and shops.

There are videos of pupils running around the streets in blood-stained uniform circulating on social media.

As of the time, Daily Trust got to the scene, pupils of Winners School, Kano, had been evacuated.

The explosion occurred adjacent the school.
