Panic as gas explosion hits Lagos community

A gas explosion occurred on Tuesday evening at Agboju in Amowo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The explosion, which occurred at a gas station in the area around 7:15pm, caused panic as residents ran in different directions searching for their loved ones.

It was learnt that the incident affected a section of the gas station

The territorial coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the explosion.

He, however, said: “It was not that serious as nobody died and nobody was reported to have been injured in the explosion”
