President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Zahra Buhari-Indimi has reshared an Instagram post that suggested that the discovery of COVID-19 palliatives locked away in warehouses nationwide is proof that the President is not the country’s problem.

“Now that people confirmed Buhari distributed enough palliatives nationwide. it is clear Buhari is not our problem,” the post reshared by the President’s daughter read.

Residents across states have been uncovering and looting warehouses said to be holding palliatives meant for distribution during the COVID-19.

In Taraba, Plateau, Adamawa, Niger, Abuja, Osun, Edo residents broke into warehouses to cart away noodles, sugar, rice, salt, maize, farming implements and other items.

Some have been injured in the ensuing melee, others have been killed.

On Sunday, operatives arrested 109 suspects with items they had carted away from Plateau Agricultural Development Programme warehouse in Dogon-Dutse area of Jos.

The discovery of the warehouse has left a lot of questions to be answered.

Osun government said it was waiting for Abuja to commission the palliatives for distribution.

Lagos lawmaker SOB Agunbiade said he kept palliatives in his Ikorodu residence because he planned to distribute them on his birthday.

Groups have accused states and politicians of hoarding the palliatives.
Residents accuse politicians of keeping the items to be used in later political campaigns.
