Lack of proper communication as missing link

Sir, the past administrations have failed to satisfy the inquisitiveness of their electorates. They performed below expectations not because they were too bad or weak but because the government used a one way from of communication that does not seek for opinions of the people on the type of project she want to embark upon for the citizenry, the Government sees the masses as a dumping ground for anything, any idea that is conceived by the government on what she want to do for the people, without seeking to know whether it would be useful to them, goes ahead to execute such an idea.

Instead of allowing the people to talk, giving them the voice by sitting down with the people from high to low level and asking them to discuss issues that ponder and lack in their community by communicating with them, the government rather, do the opposite thereby generating an enormous range of visions as well as insight on how things should be done, by deciding to package information, project and other services to a community without consulting the people to know what their immediate needs are.

For instance, the society that is desperately in need of water cannot recognized the constructing of roads and electricity by the Government as development, not that reads and the electricity are useless but because the Government lack that transactional factor to liaise with the populace to know their immediate problem.

The leaders are failing to interact with their constituencies to know what they really want at a particular time, she goes about executing projects that are relevant at the wrong time. Look at the recent issue under the ongoing administration in Benue State, the community is dying of hunger because there is no money to buy food produce but the Government, instead of paying salaries so that the poor will purchase food stuffs, the Government is busy constructing and commissioning industries as if they are the food that the people will eat. Industries are good amenities to be present in the society that can bring development, but if the immediate needs of the society are not catered for, then, the society cannot without food and salaries heap praises on the Government that is establishing industries.

Sir, at this point let me advice that the immediate past Government failed because the needs of the society which was to receive constant salaries were ignored in almost all the states of the federation but the Government focused on roads and extravagant spending budget forgetting to consult the populace in order to get their opinion on what they should be done for them. So if the present administration wants to cater for the needs of the citizenry, let her carryout research by communicating with the society to know their immediate problems and needs before embarking on projects that will be of benefits to the society.

Warning to so-called Biafra Republic

I want to call all reasonable well thinking Igbos and other related tribes to stop the Biafra issue as far as it is day and when the night cometh the suffering will be much. Also I want their attention to what is happening in Southern Sudan, Biafra will be worst. God hates rebellion, God said in Samuel 15:22-23 and Isaiah 30:1 about the sin of rebellion. Chief of Air Staff should hear this

Please the President should warn the Chief of Air Staff AVM A. Siddique to be careful when driving in the FCT, his security men nearly caused accident on Mon 16th November between NNPC Towers and National Mosque when one of his overzealous men used the butt of his gun to hit my side mirror without any provocation.
