Femi Gbajabiamila should stop eye service

It is very obvious that the House Leader, Fami Gbajabiamila is working against the Speaker, House of Representative, Honourable Yakubu Dogara. We are all aware that the same Femi was desperately in need of the position of a speaker, contested for it but failed woefully as majority of the house members voted against him due to his pomposity and rudeness open his colleagues.

I will not and never be surprised if Mr. Femi accused the speaker, hon. Dogara of working against President Buhari just because the speaker carried all the members of the house along in assigning positions to them without discriminating against the members of the former ruling party, PDP.

However, Femi’s action of walking out of the house during the official inauguration of the house committee chairmen on various ministries and accusing the speaker of working against President Buhari has simply brought his eye service attitude and jealousy in the public sphere. Therefore, Femi should know that Nigerians are watching him with keen interest and he should also know that by walking out of the house and accusing the speaker of working against President Buhari cannot earn him presidential support and make him a saint.

He (Fami Gbajabiamila) is simply one of those politicians who seek unnecessary attention and make useless noise that intend to distract or rather, divert people’s attention from a critical issue of national interest that if people’s attention was not diverted, something reasonably would have been done to better the lives of the citizenry.

Let me use this opportunity and medium to call on Bola Tinubu, who is the political god-father of Femi, to call his boy to order so that he will stop distracting the house with his irrelevant accusations against the speaker and his infinitesimal knowledge of leadership. Nigerians were all aware of your (Tinubu) plan to install Lawan as Senate President and Femi, as Speaker of the house in order to enable you control the leadership of this country, but you failed. However, I am suspecting you of being behind your boy’s (Femi) distractive attitudes in order to make things difficult for the speaker, Dogara.

The time to speak out fearlessly so that the right thing would be done in this country is now, the time to call political god-fathers to order is now, the time to stop discrimination and work collectively for the progress of this country is now, the time to call Femi Gbajabiamila to order is now and the time to stop being selfish is now. Femi should better stop being rigid with his unimpressed actions and support the speaker, Dogara for the peace, unity and process of this nation.

This Ndoma Egba

Throughout his 12 years in the Senate Ndoma Egba didn’t help any Cross Riverian outside his ward. There are six LGA in C/River Central where Ndoma represented for 12 years, yet he wanted to come back again. What of other LGs, is he the only person created by God? Is he the most qualified in that zone? PDP will rule C/River for 2 million years without a single council for APC. Ndoma is a selfish human being. That PDP advert

How the mighty have fallen! I saw the advertisement of the almighty PDP national coference squeezed in one D/Trust page. What a pity. In its halcyon days that advert will be four pages. And just six months out of power. We now know the source of all that extravagance in the past. I doubt if they can afford transport and accommodation for all delegates as was done before, not mentioning welfare packages. Nzo Bwara, Abuja 08130403457

PMB on course over electoral fraud

During the swearing in ceremony of the new INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, President Buhari said all persons involved in electoral fraud must be probed and prosecuted if found culpable. This is a good move. We also suggest that judges who manipulate evidence in any electoral tribunal and any person who influences or tries to influence the decision of any electoral tribunal should similarly be investigated and prosecuted if found liable. PMB cannot influence any election tribunal nor mortgage his hard earned conscience for any reason. Abubakar B. Tsav CP rtd 08098977244

A national call to service

In recent days, complains about the “slow” pace of PMB has dominated Nigeria’s media space, both traditional and new media.

In my own humble opinion, I think we need to look beyond our most immediate expectations and look at the big picture that is opened to us and the generations unborn.

Let us all where possible try and endure the present “dry season” knowing that it is our own sacrifice at making our country great again.

This is not a party or tribal affair, it is a national call to service, service to our fatherland, and I foresee a Nigeria that would feed, secure and educate its citizens to the envy of many countries. God Bless Nigeria. Michael O. Olayanju 08096168861
