Can Buhari be impeached?
Those who play the music of impeachment should think twice, for the word is offensive and repulsive to the Nigerian masses.
He who imagined impeaching President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at this critical time of our nationhood, to me, is just in fancy and hallucination.
Mr. President was overwhelmingly elected by Nigerian masses; he is the president that ever scored such landslide victory in Nigeria and he is for all, irrespective of religion, tribal or regional affiliation and most importantly, Buhari is one person who is working for the betterment of all, including the generation yet unborn.
I am fully aware, that we are now passing through a difficult time. But, we should also know that, one cannot fix dislocated and disjointed patient without the victim passing through pains.
Those who talk of impeachment have not done to Nigeria in their sixteen years in office what Buhari and Osinbajo did in one year. The wailers were just there fighting for their huge salaries, allowances and outrageously expensive cars. Their utmost priority is their personal gain.
We mentioned the achievements of Mr. President several times in our previous writings; therefore, I feel that there is no need for us to reiterate same. However, we are all abreast of some of President Buhari’s achievements in the area of security, availability of petroleum products, fighting corruption vehemently, redeeming of Nigeria’s name abroad, making our army to regain its lost glory, securing some financial assistance from the international community, successful negotiation for nuclear energy, fruitful trip to China and so on and so forth.
By and large, if hailers and wailers in the National Assembly dare try to impeach Buhari, undoubtedly, the masses of Nigeria will pass vote of no confidence in them, and thus they will be called back to their villages.
We did not send them there to impeach Buhari, but to work with him for the betterment of Nigeria. Let them focus on how to extricate our country from the entanglement we found ourselves. This is not time to dish out provocative words on the pages of newspapers.
Since the inception of the democratic rule in 1999, Nigerians are yet to feel the impact of the elected legislators in our various constituencies. I am yet to see their presence there. Therefore, let them impeach themselves first before impeaching others.
Besides the few patriotic senators and members of House of Representatives, who are diligently supporting Mr. President’s government to unite and uplift Nigeria, one can see only few of them visit their constituencies after their elections. They used the indigents as ladders to attain their personal goals.
Buhari cannot be impeached, simple. These are my personal opinions and I am entitled to them.

I doff my hat to Kashim Shetima
Thank God the editorial of Daily Trust of Thursday, July 14,2016 vol.39,page 44 made it very clear that this man loves his people and the state. Some of those blaming him cannot rule the state for one week and face the challenges of insecurity of Boko Haram. Let Abuja politicians come and see roads constructions, building of schools, water drilling, agricultural activities and farming here and there. The long abandoned Lagos street and bridge is almost completed and no more traffic go-slow. If they are afraid to show their faces in the day time, let them sneak in the dead of the night to have a look -Maiduguri is peaceful, Borno is working. Yanzu kan mage ya waye, we know you will rush home in 2019 to seek for our votes, but you won’t get it because we hope for the best. The best can make it without a godfather, KSM is a case study, he is a role model. Borno home of peace!

Messi please don’t go
The decision by world acclaimed football and soccer legend Lionel Messi, that he was quitting international football due to his inability to win major trophies for his country is most unwelcome comment by one of the most popular soccer star in this generation.
We believe his contribution to his national team and his club Barcelona football club of Spain has made him one the best footballer to come out in the present generation of footballers that played this round leather game in recent times.
We hope Lionel Messi would abide by the advice of many soccer pundits across the world, who would want him to remain in the field of soccer for his country to be a role model to upcoming generation of youths, who are personate about playing this round leather game for the benefit of themselves, their parent and their country as a whole.
