Sujimoto to construct 25-floor automated apartments

Sujimoto Construction Limited recently in Lagos unveiled plan to launch a new housing project named The Lorenzo, a 25-floor luxury apartments on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Sujimoto is a new real estate company which has constructed an outstanding 22 units of Medici Terraces also in Ikoyi.
The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Sijibomi Ogundele said the company believes that Nigeria and its citizens should be at the centre of innovative real estate development, hence the idea behind the Lorenzo, a redefined luxury living that will bring the best of the world to the centre of Lagos, the commercial hub of the country.
According to Sijibomi, the Lorenzo is going to a magnificent 25-floor architectural masterpiece to be built on 3,800 square meters of amazing landscape and it will present home owners within the building the elegance of world class residential poise with unrivalled features, facilities and excellent services.
The Lorenzo is targeted to be the tallest residential building in Lagos with 25 floors, 57 units including three Penthouses and two villas.
It is a multi-storey building with apartments including two-bedroom, three-bedrooms, four-bedroom villas and six-bedroom penthouse. “An average size of units is between 360m2 to 1,000m2, including common areas,” he said.

He said the administration and operation of the building will be handled by international hospitality experts adding that his company had contacted Leacy Group that manages Wheatbeaker Hotel in Lagos and Michelangelo Hotel in South Africa.
Sijibomi explained that his company will sell only 22 units adding that the first 20 buyers are eligible to a free furnished apartment, or a 2017 E or S-Class Mercedes Benz adding that investors that express interest in the purchase of floors may do so at a discount.
He said work will start on the project by first quarter of next year adding that it will take between 24 and 30 months to complete it.
“Lorenzo building is something that will be a landmark in Nigeria because everything in this building will be fully automated. It will be one of the best in Africa in terms of architecture, location and lifestyle,” he emphasised.
NIPOST commissions 44 lockup shops in Bauchi

The Nigeria Postal Service has commissioned a 44-unit lock up shops complex in Bauchi State to help business activities and generate revenue.
The shopping complex named after the former Post Master General Mallam Ibrahim Mori Baba was built through a Built Operate and Transfer (BOT) agreement between NIPOST and some interested individuals.?
Acting Post Master General of Nigeria, Mr Enoch Adeogun said NIPOST is poised to improve its services to meet the needs of Nigerians.
He said NIPOST will brace up for the challenges ahead by bringing innovations that will make the service better.
Responding, the Secretary General, NIPOST Traders Association (NTA) Bauchi, Abdurahman Raji informed that the land was allocated to them by the immediate past Postmaster General Mori Baba in 2012.
He added that 246 units of shops were constructed in the phase I project.
Raji said 44 units of lock up shops and toilets for the phase II were constructed at the cost of about N40 million on BOT.
He explained that the shopping complex will be transferred to NIPOST after some years.
He called on Bauchi State government to facilitate enabling environment for small and medium scale industries to strive as well as attract businessmen and women from other states to the state.
Philanthropist builds road for Benue community

A philanthropist in Benue State, Alhaji Abubakar Usman has begun construction of a 10-kilometre road for the people of Idah-Akor/Ipole-Akor in Orokam local government area of the state.
Usman popularly known as Young Alhaji said that he embarked on the project which will cover six communities to assuage the suffering of the people.
The road will link the communities to the major Ukwo-Orokam market on the border of Benue and Enugu States.
“I have passion to help the community. It is my nature. It’s a dual carriage with streetlights. On completion, I will provide electricity for the villages along the road.
“There is no political undertone to the project because there is no election now,” he said.
The former chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state before formally leading his supporters to join the Accord Party (AP) following unresolved crisis in the APC noted that the project has no political undertone.
According to Usman, the first phase of the project awarded to a company known as AJN costs him N70 million and more fund will be released at the later stage of work.
The site engineer, John Enemali told Daily Trust that work had commenced in earnest with the removal of obstacles such as trees and houses on the corridor mapped out for the road and expressed confidence that the job will be completed in six months.
The community youth leader, Ojibo Emmanuel lauded Usman for the project which will help villagers to access the markets in the area with their farm produce easily and generate more income to better their lots in the rural environment.
“Before now, there was no access route so our people trek long distances to both Ukwo-Orokam and Obollo Afor to do business. But with this development, even the Igbos are happy that all the villagers along the boundary would have access to take their products to the market,” Emmanuel added.
