Media Trust rewards 89 staff in 2015

Media Trust Limited, publisher of the Trust Title rewarded 89 of its staff under its heroes of the month initiative in 2015.

The head, Human Resources, Alhassan Yusuf made this known during the organisation’s heroes of the month awards for January and February held yesterday.

While explaining that the company is poised to reward excellence, he said that the staff who have won the awards cut across the company’s regional and branch offices nationwide.

Media Trust also rewarded 11 staff including two corps members and one cleaner as its heroes for the month of January and February.

For January, Francis Arinze Iloani of the editorial department was recognised including Silas Titus Andrew and Muhammad Sanni of Advertising and Administration departments respectively.

At the Kano Regional Office Abubakar Abduallahi, a driver and Lukman Nasiru of Finance Department, Lagos regional office were recognised.

In February, Ronald Mutum was recognised from the editorial department for his excellent reportage of the activities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the defence ministry.

A cleaner, Salimatu Abuh, was recognised from the administration department including Oladele Hussein, Finance; Ibrahim Afolabi, IT; Jennifer Johnson, Marketing and Charles Mere, Advert, Lagos regional office.

Also, trophy, medals and cash prizes were given to winners of the maiden Media Trust interdepartmental table tennis competition. David Thomas of the administration department received the gold medal while Abbas Jimoh of Daily Trust on Saturday and Isa Adama of Audit department received the silver and bronze medals respectively.

Ikechukwu Ibe, an award winning photographer was specially recognised for his award winning photograph of military torturing a civilian.

The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Abhay Desai commended the staff while he appealed to all staff to put in their best in all they do.
