Osinbajo to speak at NBA-SBL annual conference

From Yahaya Ibrahim, Lagos

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will participate in this year’s 10th annual conference of the Nigeria Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL).

The vice president will also deliver a paper on “Africa Rising-Managing Africa’s Economies for the Benefit of its People” after which he will declare the conference open.

Chairman of the planning committee of the conference, Tunde Ajibadem who made this known at a press conference in Lagos disclosed that the vice president had already confirmed his attendance.

Ajibade disclosed that the conference would be chaired by Dr. Lanre Babalola, former minister of power who would also speak at various sessions.

According to him, the conference with the theme ‘Law and Economic Reform’ will hold from 22 to 24, 2016 at the Transcorp Hilton hotel Abuja.

He also said that other speakers at the conference include Dr. Kayode Fayemi, minister of Solid Minerals; Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), minister of Power, Works and Housing and Dr. Audu Ogbe, minister of Agriculture among other speakers.

“The sessions at this year’s conference will focus on laws that directly impact on businesses in Nigeria with a view to critically examining how certain laws could impede businesses and become disincentives to economic development and how to get better laws for positive growth,” he added.
