The Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has set to hold a parallel state congress.
A faction loyal to the former governor of the State, Senator Rasidi Ladoja is holding a congress at the Watershed event centre in old ife-road while the other faction loyal to the former leader of the house of representatives, Mulikat Adeola Akande is holding its own at Baptist Secondary school, Oke Ado in Ibadan.
As at the time of this report, both venues are flooded with the party members across the state while the leaders of the two factions are holding a meeting at town house, in iyaganku area of the state.
Former deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Azeem Gbolarunmi and a leader of the party, Mr. Dare Adekanbi told reporters that the crisis was as a result of the political gimmicks of the former governor of the state, Senator Rasidi Ladoja to win all the executive members to his side.
