Oyo: Improvement over 2011 Guber Polls – Adelabu

 

Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Zacchaeus Adedeji Adelabu Saturday rated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) very high in its conduct of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state saying there are lots of improvement compared with the 2011 polls.

Adelabu while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Iwo Ate Oke Ward 2 Unit 7 in the Ogo Oluwa Local Government area of Oyo State opined that “there will always be room for improvement on the part of the electoral commission.”

He said:  “The election so far, so good.  The conduct has been so peaceful though there are low turn out which possibly may be due to the voter apathy.  We did not record any hiccup as regards the Card Reader.  We believe INEC has resolved the Card Reader problem.”
