It was gathered that Hon. Yekini, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) councillor, on Thursday, led his colleagues to gain entrance into the office of the suspended local government chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo and carted away the laptop and council official documents.

One of the council workers, who does not want his name mentioned, told our correspondent that the acting chairman of the council, Barr Sakariyau Fasola, detected the unlawful entry into the office when he resumed office on Thursday.

According to the staff, the acting chairman reported the issue to the Head of Local Government (HLA) of the council, Mrs Ojo.

The source further told our correspondent that the HLA summoned all the ad hoc staff working at the council chairman’s office to find out how the office was burgled.

She handed them to the state CID when none of them was able to explain the illegal entry to the chairman’s office.

When contacted, the police spokesman, Adewale Osifeso, also confirmed the incident to our reporter.
