Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola on Thursday commiserated with his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Abigail Makinde, who died on Thursday at the age of 81.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ismail Omipidan quoted Oyetola saying that late Makinde was a pillar who had left behind the legacies of service and good character.
He said the great values the octogenarian left behind would serve as a guiding light not only to her family but also to the people of Oyo State and humanity at large.
Oyetola said “On behalf of the people and Government of the State of Osun, I sympathise with my brother, Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, over the passing of his mother, Mama Abigail.
“Mama lived a good life while she was with us. Therefore, we must take solace in the fact that she left behind a lasting legacy through her children and those close to her.
“There is no denying the fact that she lived a life of service to God and humanity; and her exemplary life, we would continue to cherish.”
