The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, says the ministry created over 400,000 direct and indirect jobs during the course of construction of different projects across the country.

The minister during a media presentation of his tour of duty from 2015-2023, said the government was able to embark on massive infrastructural projects in the country after jerking the budget from N18bn to N200bn in 2016.

Fashola stated that N13bn was generated by the ministry during the period from over 6,000 certificates of ownership, issued, adding that a total of 826 programmes and projects were carried-out in the power sector.
