The annual event which is sponsored by KRPC will tee off this morning and end tomorrow, December 22.
According to the organisers, the tee off ceremony to be performed by the Managing Director of Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company at 9.30am will be witnessed by dignitaries from NNPC, KRPC and the management of Kaduna Golf Club.
The event proper which will be a 36 holes stroke play over two days will see over 200 golfers competing for prizes in six categories namely categories 1, 2, 3 for men, Ladies category, veterans category as well as NNPC/KRPC staff category.
Guest of honour at tomorrow’s closing ceremony to be held at the Kaduna Golf Club-1921 is the Managing Director of KRPC to be supported by the Captain of the Kaduna Golf Club, Architect Arabi Bello.
Past winners of the tournament include Bawa Umar of Kaduna Golf Club, B. Abdullahi of Zaria Golf Club, HRH Harrison Bungun of Kaduna Golf Club, Musa Yaro of Kano Golf Club and Laura Arin of Lamingo Golf Club.
Adamu Garba and B. Aladun of NNPC/KRPC and Racheal Danjuma of IBB Golf Club Abuja are the other past winners of the tournament.
This year’s edition is the 10th in the series.
