Over 1,000 Islamic clerics gathered and offered special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leader of the Kwankwasiyya political group, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in Kano, as well as for peace, progress and political stability of Nigeria.
The clerics were hosted by the Member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Abdulmumin Kofa.
During the prayer session held in Kiru, the clerics recited the Holy Qur’an 1,101 times.
Kofa pledged to promote a harmonious relationship between the two leaders, according to a statement by his media aide, Sani Ibrahim Paki, on Monday.

He also promised to utilise his political network to engage influential figures in Kano politics to resolve any issue and calm the current tension surrounding the Kano governorship seat.
Following the prayer session, the lawmaker also hosted 5,000 pupils from his constituency and distributed school kits.
