An ex-aide to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Doyin Okupe, has said that the Governor of Anmabra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, is indulging in political delusion, saying his latest comment on the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, is meaningless.
Okupe, who had withdrawn from the 2023 presidential race and declared his support Obi, stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.

Soludo had said that Obi was playing a game by saying that Obi did not have the necessary structure in place to win the election.
He said, “I won’t join issue with Soludo so that people do not get misinformed by his very unsound judgment on the political status of the Labour Party in the Nigerian politics. He must be living in another planet.
“I don’t know what was blinding him for him to say there are only two people in this race, that it’s only APC and PDP. Even a blind person or a nine-year-old child knows this is not rue. Professor Soludo must be indulging in political delusion.”
Okupe added, “Soludo’s comment on Peter Obi carries no weight and it’s meaningless. It’s just the passion of a deluded person who has some underlining intentions or aspirations.”
