The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Hon Offor Okorie, has said that the party’s main agenda is to deliver its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the state’s governorship candidate, Chief Ikechi Emenike, on February 25, and March 11, respectively.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday in Abuja, Okorie, said the party must have a tête-à-tête with a former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uche Ogah, and the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, to terminate the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
He said the APC had what it took to change the political equation in the state in its favour, but stressed that the national leadership of the party must meet with Ogah and Kalu to fine-tune winning strategies, noting that they had the structure to win the polls.
He further said, “Abia APC has what it takes to upturn the political equation in the state for APC, but the party will have to give honour to these two leaders. They have the structure and the people to deliver.”

Ogah had challenged the emergence of Emenike as the party’s governorship candidate after the primaries held last year, but the Supreme Court affirmed Emenike as the validly elected APC governorship candidate for the March 11, election, resulting in claims that Ogah is not willing to work for the party.
But Okorie said Ogah remained a loyal party man and was interested in the APC taking over power in the state.
