Some political stakeholders in Abia State have said the governor-elect, Dr. Alex Otti would redefine governance and tackle the challenges bedeviling the state.
The stakeholders, under the aegis of United Abia Artisans and Patriots, said the political elements plotting to stop Otti from turning around the fortunes of the state would not succeed.
Recall Otti’s candidature was reportedly nullified by a Federal High Court sitting in Kano State, presided over by Justice M. N. Yunusa, but the court in a reaction denied nullifying the candidature of the Abia State governor-elect.
Addressing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the Convener of the group, Amb. Osita Chuks Akamadu, Esq, said, “In the next few days, Dr. Alex Otti will be sworn in as governor to enable him to commence the process of rebuilding and recovering our state that was destroyed and plundered by the PDP, so Abians are enjoined to ignore the Kano ruling that purports to be consequential.”
