Otaru of Auchi charges leaders on justice

The Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji Aliru Momoh, Ikelebe III, has charged leaders at all levels to ensure justice for all irrespective of  religion, ethnic or political affiliation.

Otaru stated this at Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West local government, during the Auchi Day celebration.

According to him, it is only when we (elected rulers and traditional rulers)  ensure justice that peace would be achieved.

“Allah says in the Quran that a just ruler will exit to the heaven  nearest to him in paradise while unjust ruler will be at the bottomless part of the hell fire.”

“So, as human beings, always stand for justice even if it is against your mother, father or children, brothers and sisters.

“Justice has no boundary and whatever situation you find your self, you must stand for justice and it is on this basis that anybody resident in Auchi Kingdom ( whether indigenes or strangers and Muslims or Christians)  are regarded as citizen of the kingdom.”

He explained that the Auchi Day celebration was to for praising Almighty Allah and offering prayers for the wellbeing of the people and the community.

The monarch said this year’s celebration was historic with the commissioning of the Arafat Mosque.

On his part, Governor Godwin Obaseki commended the monarch for organising the event that brought  the people together.

Represented by Mr. Moses Agbukor, former commissioner for Energy and Water Resources, the governor urged other traditional rulers in the state to emulate Otaru in their domains to foster unity among the people of their clans and communities.

He said his administration will continue to partner traditional rulers in bringing the dividend of democracy to the people, especially in the area of security being the custodian of the various locality.
