Osun records 81 deaths in 313 road crashes in 2022

The Federal Road Safety Commission has said 81 people were killed in 313 road traffic crashes in Osun State between January and November 2022.

The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Paul John Okpe, in an interview with City & Crime in Osogbo, said 244 people sustained various degrees of injuries in the crashes.

He noted that the majority of the crashes occurred due to traffic violations by drivers travelling from Lagos, Ibadan to Abuja, and other parts of the North. 

He advised drivers to observe a 30-minute rest period after every four hours’ drive.
