It was learnt that Tunde and Abiodun hired the services of the motorcyclist to take them to a location within Ile-Ife, but that on their way they told the rider to stop, shot him and stole his bike.

One of the suspects, Tunde, said, “We hired the motorcyclist to take us somewhere. On our way we attacked and shot him. We took his motorcycle. Thereafter, policemen tracked and arrested us.”
