The Osun Health Insurance Agency has enrolled 206,659 residents to relieve them of financial burden on health expenditure.
The chairman of the agency, Adeoye Adelakun, disclosed this to journalists at the Osun NUJ Correspondent Chapel in Osogbo on Tuesday.
He said Governor Adegboyega Oyetola was very passionate about the scheme and committed to ensuring good healthcare delivery for the people of the state.
He said measures had been put in place to ensure quality service delivery and monitor the hospitals, adding that any hospital that failed to treat the enrollees well would be sanctioned appropriately.
The Executive Secretary, Osun Health Insurance Scheme, Dr Niyi Ogini, said the scheme had relieved the people of the state of financial burden in terms of health expenditure.
