Osun gov’ship: PDP holds primary Tuesday

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State will, on Tuesday, hold a primary election for the July 16 governorship election in the state. 

Six aspirants were cleared by the Mohammed Adoke-led screening committee for the primary.

House of reps aspirant seeks end to divisiveness among APC members in Osun

Mr Adoke, a former Attorney-General of the Federation, said all the aspirants scaled the screening hurdles.

The aspirants are: Mr Ademola Adeleke, Prince Dotun Babayemi, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Mr Dele Adeleke, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, and Mr Omirin Emmanuel Olusanya.

Meanwhile, PDP lawmakers in the state have urged all the aspirants to support and work for anyone among them that emerges as the party’s candidate.

At a meeting with the aspirants yesterday, Hon. John Fashogbon, who spoke on behalf of the lawmakers, said the support was to ensure the party wins the governorship election.
