Osun gov’ship election: Police arrest NYSC member for diverting 38 PVCs

The police in Osun State have arrested a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Orji Desmond Nkenna, for diverting 38 Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs).

Nkenna is serving as an ad hoc staff at the INEC office in Atakumosa WA resident of Atakumosa, who went to the INEC office to collect his PVC, reported at the police that his PVC had been taken by someone.

This led to an investigation which eventually exposed the 29-year-old corps member who hails from Anambra State.

Following the investigation, the corps member confessed that two chieftains of a political party identified as Wale Ojo and Ijamakinwa Olaoluwa requested the PVCs and promised to give him N1,000 per card when he delivered them.

The police spokesman in the state, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the arrest of the corps member.
