Osun governor, wife vote in Iragbiji, commend voters, security agents

The governor of Osun state, Gboyega Oyetola and his wife, Kafayat Oyetola on Saturday voted in his home town, Iragbiji, Unit 2 Ward 1 in Boripe local government area of the state.

The governor commended the people of the state for coming out massively and for casting their votes peacefully and in orderly manner.

He also commended the security agents for exhibiting professionalism.

Oyetola also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring that materials arrived at polling centres on time.

He said the elections were conducted under peaceful atmosphere except for few places where there were minor cases of crisis.

Meanwhile, the card reader malfunctioned in some of the polling units, including Ward 10 Unit 5 in Ede South Local Government; Ward 3, Unit 13 in Osogbo Local Government Area; Units 5, 7, Ward 10 in Obokun Local Government Area; Ward 01, Unit 07 in Boluwaduro Local Government; Unit 2, Ward 12 in Odo Otin Local Government and a few other units in some parts of the state.
