Osun: Court remands 2 over theft

A magistrates’ court in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Monday, remanded a 30-year old man, Oyekanmi Abdulkadri, and a 33-year-old woman, Opeyemi Mustapha, for alleged stealing.

The accused who are facing a two-count charge of felony and theft are said to be staff of a plastic company.

The police prosecutor, Adeoye Kayode, told the court that the accused conspired and stole plastic items valued at N14,800,00 belonging to the company.

The accused pleaded not guilty and their counsel, B. Y Dauda, sought their bail.

Magistrate M.A Awodele remanded the accused and adjourned the case to February 9, 2021.
