Osinbajo to speak at The Nation’s Economic Forum today

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will today in Lagos speak at the maiden edition of The Nation’s Newspapers’ Economic Forum organized to examine the Nigerian economy.
Also to attend the forum are governors of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode; Edo, Adams Oshiomhole; Imo, Rochas Okorocha; Benue, Samuel Ortom; Borno, Kashim Shettima; Oyo, Abiola Ajimobi and many of their counterparts in the six geopolitical zones as well as some ministers.
A statement by the chairman of The Nation editorial board Mr Sam Omatseye, said the private sector and the international community, represented by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, the Bank of Industry, the US-Africa Chambers of Commerce, the Italian Consular General and others are attending the programme.
The statement said that the forum is instituted as a response initiative to complement the current efforts to reposition the nation’s economy.
Vice President Osinbajo will deliver the keynote address, while state governors are to deliver special papers on the competencies and potentials of their states. Ministers are also to deliver speeches on the importance of their roles in the new economic order.
