The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is billed chair the first Abuja SMEs conference.
The conference billed to hold on August 16 in Abuja is themed “Solution Strategies for Resolving Tax, Regulatory, Packaging & Logistic Challenges Facing Nigerian SMEs.”

The conference is organised by the National Chamber Policy Centre of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and other stakeholders.
A statement by ACCI’s Media and Strategy Officer, Olayemi John-Mensah Friday, said the conference was a platform for stakeholders at both government and non-governmental levels to grow and empower the SME operators.
The Chairman of the planning committee, Olawale Rasheed was quoted to have described the conference as “a critical step to tackle and resolve the many stumbling blocks plaguing the sector,” adding that, “the platform is a gathering of regulators, operators and policymakers to create an action plan to find lasting solutions to bottlenecks holding down and killing our SMEs.”
