Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, governors, ministers and top government functionaries Saturday stormed Bauchi State to attend the wedding Fatiha of Barr Fatima Zahrah Adamu, daughter of the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.
The vice president and his entourage arrived Azare town around noon for the wedding which took place at the Azare Central Mosque in Katagum Local Government Area.
Governors, including Bala Mohammed (Bauchi); Umara Zulum (Borno); Mai Mala Buni (Yobe); Simon Lalong (Plateau), Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), as well as former governors and many other dignitaries, also attended the wedding.
The Ministers of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami; Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; and that of State for Education, Emeka Nwajioba, were also in attendance.
The wedding Fatiha was presided over by the Chief Imam of Azare Central Mosque with the sum of N200,000 paid as dowry.
Shortly after the wedding, Gov Bala Mohammed led the vice president and other guests for a homage to the Emir of Katagum, Alh Umar Farouk II.
The guests commended the Gov Mohammed, the Emir of Katagum and the entire Katagum Emirate for the warm reception accorded them and advised the couple to be patient with each other.
