‘Oshiomhole’s actions on NASS inimical to APC’

The North East Zonal Youth Wing, Abuja chapter of the APC has said the actions by the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, on the leadership of the 9th National Assembly will sink the party if concerted efforts are not taken.

They said the way Oshiomhole was going about the National Assembly leadership was an invitation for crisis, which would eventually disintegrate thje party in no time.

In a statement, the secretary of the group, Abubakar Maigari, said the threat by Oshiomhole and the party’s National Leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, to send away members of the National Assembly who opposed the party’s candidates for leadership positions was appalling.

“Several members of the ruling party have been lost to the opposition since Oshiomhole became APC national chairman on June 23, 2018, yet the looming 9th National Assembly leadership election crisis may threaten the corporate existence of the ruling party.

“Barely a month after Oshiomhole assumed national chairmanship of APC, 15 senators and 37 House of Representatives members decamped mostly to the PDP on Tuesday July 24, 2018, just as the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and Speaker Yakubu Dogara followed suit,” the group said.
