Dr Seun Bosede Osamaye, an advocate for education, has commissioned an ultra-modern library at Adéyemí Federal University of Education, Ondo.
The library was built and donated by Osamaye.
Speaking during the event, the change agent said: “Developing the nation starts from the class room. I decided to build and donate this library not because I earn much but because I believe our students need a conducive place for studying and for them to cultivate a culture of reading and learning.”
“I have long been a champion of education and believe that access to quality educational resources is a fundamental right of every student. Recognizing the crucial role that libraries play in facilitating learning and research.”
The Minister Of Education, Prof Tahir maman, who was represented by the deputy Vice Chancellor, Federal University Of Technology, Akure harped on the importance of citing libraries in the premises of an institution, adding that it will further strengthen the horizon of the Students.
A former Provost of the institution, Prof Adeyemi Ìdòwú, said it’s a wake up call for others to raise the banner of education,.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the institution who spoke for the academic community, expressed gratitude to Dr Osamaye.
The member representing Ondo West constituency II at the State Assembly, Biola Oladapo noted that the library stands as a symbol of progress and innovation.
