Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Monday swore in four Special Advisers with a charge that they redoubled their efforts in ensuring the delivery of dividends of democracy for people in the state.
Ortom said he reappointed the four special advisers who retained their former positions for; Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Elder Jerome Torshimbe, Security Matters, Col. Paul Hemba (retd), Development Cooperatives, Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, and NEPAD, Dr. Mrs.Magdalene Dura as well as Joseph Odaudu for Special Duties to assist his administration to achieve selfless service to the citizens.
The governor noted that the appointees had exhibited hard work, commitment and dedication to duty in their previous assignments during his first tenure and that was why they earned the reappointment.
He stressed that as people of hard work and proven character, the appointees needed to occupy their strategic offices to enable his second term administration fulfil the blueprints of the well documented plans for a greater Benue.
Ortom however warned the appointees to avoid the temptation of doing whatever would make them regular visitors to anti-graft agencies after their tenure in office as he emphasised the need for them to be prudent on their duty post.
