The finals of the sixth edition of Moses Orkuma Unity Cup will take place today between Gboko Professionals and Solution Ground Aliade at the famous JS Tarka Stadium in Gboko.
To reach the finals of the annual tournament, the star-studded Gboko Professionals edged out last year’s runners-up St Michaels Ameladu 2-0 while their opponents, Solution Ground, eliminated Purity Empires in the first semi-final match.
Parading former and current Nigerian internationals like David Tyavkase, Anthony Okpotu, Anthony Shimaga, Bernard Bulbwa, Otekpa Eneji, Stanley Ogambor and a host of others, the Gboko Pros are highly favoured to carry the day.
However, even as the underdogs, the boys from Aliade who have since proved bookmakers wrong with stunning results can’t be dismissed with a wave of the hand.

They had successfully punched above their weight and are poised to give their more experienced opponents a run for their money.
Meanwhile, in Saturday’s losers’ finals, Amenger Emmanuel and Joshua Chukwudi scored a goal in each half of the match as Purity Empire piped St Michaels Ameladu 2-0 to finish third.
Organisers have said overall winners of the tournament would take home N200,000 cash prize, a giant trophy and a pair of jerseys while the runners-up will receive N150,000 and a set of jerseys for consolation.
There will also be individual prizes for outstanding players.
