The senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Benue North West has scored 140 votes to beat incumbent Senator and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, George Akume at the polling unit in Benue State Government House in Makurdi.
Akume polled 115 votes.
