OPSH denies discovery of arms

The security taskforce, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) in Plateau State yesterday described as false, a report on social media that it discovered arms and ammunition at Anguwan Rogo, a community in Jos North LGA of the state.

A statement from the Media and Information Officer of the outfit, Major Adam Umar, said there was no time the security outfit discovered or seized any weapon within Jos area and advised those peddling such rumour to stop it.

“It is a standing operating procedure that all discovered or seized items including weapons will be communicated to the public through established media outlets if the need arises. Our troops are deployed in all parts of Plateau State and environs to forestall any breakdown of law and order in conjunction with other security agencies,” the statement said.
