Let me start, by congratulating you, once again, on your victory at the February 25th polls.

I deem it necessary and very important for me as a citizen of this great nation, Nigeria, to pen down this piece in anticipation of greater successes, growth and development of our dear nation, insha Allah.

It is disturbing and mind-boggling, how the cost of living has become a nightmare; how prices of goods have skyrocketed to an alarming rate! Life has become so miserable for the ordinary Nigerian. This is as a result of the harsh and ill-timed policies of the outgoing administration. These policies have placed Nigeria and Nigerians on the wheel of retrogression.

The backwardness in different sectors, such as education, economy, health, physical and social infrastructure amongst many, is appalling!

Your Excellency Sir, it will be of paramount importance for you to carefully study the governance and policies of past administrations to be able to get a vivid picture of what led to some of their failures and also build on their positive achievements for rapid and focused progression.

I wish to also implore you, Sir, as you select and appoint members of your cabinet, I have no doubt in your capacity, based on your antecedents. You always go for the best that can deliver his or her assignment diligently and I trust you would not base your appointments on favouritism, political compensation, or gift for associates. There are lots of people whose target is to enrich themselves and for self-aggrandizement. Use your wealth of experience to give Nigeria the best as Nigeria needs renewed hope.

Thank you, Your Excellency, President-elect, Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Wishing you sound health and wisdom of Solomon!
