Open letter to Governor Zulum

Within one week, two important things happened to my life, and both of them came through the combination of empathy, generosity and fatherliness of our tough but kind-hearted boss, the governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Umara Zulum.

On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, while I was in transit to London, I received the announcement of my reappointment and a gracious upgrade from a Special Assistant to Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor.

As if that was not joyous enough, six days later, June 26, 2023, I graduated with a master’s degree in Media Management from Middlesex University in London.

SPONSOR AD

For these, it is my privilege to extend gratitude and appreciation to Governor Zulum for the generous sponsorship of my education and for appointing me to his cabinet as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA). This unwavering support has enabled me to pursue a dream and reach a goal. Your Excellency, I am deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.

My period at Middlesex University has been a game-changer for me. It has not only provided me with knowledge but also given me the opportunity to learn from some of the best teachers and researchers in the world. The programme has instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and determination, which have been instrumental to my academic success.

I am proud to say that despite being a graduate of Chemistry with little background of media studies then, I have completed my Master of Arts degree with Merit (2:1). The knowledge and skills I have acquired will serve me well in my future endeavours. I will always be grateful to you for making it possible.

Furthermore, I am humbled and honoured to have been appointed as an SSA in your cabinet. Your confidence in my abilities and your belief in my potential has given me the motivation to work even harder and contribute to the development of our state. I am excited to be a part of your team , which is dedicated to making Borno State a better place for all its citizens.

You are truly an inspiring leader. Your vision for the future of our state is one that is remarkable and intriguing.

I am grateful for everything you have done for me and countless others in our state. Your generosity and kindness have touched many lives and we are all better off for it. As I continue on this journey, I will always remember your support and strive to make a positive impact on others, just as you have done for me.

Thank you, Governor Zulum, for everything you have done for me and our state. May God bless you and grant you the strength and wisdom to continue to lead us toward a brighter future.
