Open letter to Governor Ganduje

Sir, as a concerned indigene, I felt compelled to write this letter to you with the hope that it will be a remainder on a project that seems to be abandoned by your administration. The mentioned project is the road linking Karaye, Rimin-Gado and Kabo local Government areas, which terminated at Janguza. The road was awarded by Governor Kwankwaso’s administration, and most of the bridges across the rivers passing through the areas were constructed. But to our dismay the work has been abandoned. In your 2017 budget presentation we had jubilated so much, when we heard that some money was allocated for the continuation of the project. But now that the year is coming to an end nothing has been done.

There is that rumour, where some are saying the project is not in the good book of some powerful in Gwarzo and Garo, who think the road project, if  completed might affect the socio-economic activities of these towns. However, going by your record of service, I am sure your Excellency will prove these rumour mongers wrong.

The road if completed will be of tremendous benefits to the people of Rimin Gado, Kabo, Karaye and Rogo local Government areas. This is because it will also help in boasting economic activities of these areas. Everybody knows how these areas contribute to the farming activities to the state. Not only that, the road will help ease the accessibility to the neighboring Kaduna State. There are three major markets that can be easily accessed through the road; these are Kabo, Karaye and Sundu markets. With the current switch to farming as a major source of revenue, the road will   help in the transportation of the farm produce within and outside Kano.

I therefore appeal to the His Excellency to come to our aid so that the construction of the road is continued as promised in the last year’s budget.
