The traditional ruler of Ilesa ire Yoruba community in Florida, United States of America, Oba Iredele Ogunlano has lauded the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi for safeguarding Yoruba culture across the world.
Speaking at the grand finale of the 2024 Naija edition of Movements of West Africa held at the palace of Ooni in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Oba Ogunlano commended the Ooni for his commitment to Yoruba tradition.
Oba Ogunlano was crowned as Oba by the Ooni of Ife. It was Oba Ogunlano’s parents, the late Olomide Ogunlano and Omialadora Ajamu who established Ilesa ire Yoruba temple and community in the USA.
Oba Ogunlano said his family traced its lineage, customs and traditions back to south-western Nigeria and expressed gratitude to Ooni of Ife for the warm reception.

He expressed gratitude to Ooni of Ife for elevating the status of Yoruba culture and tradition and making all Yorubas all over the world proud of their race.
While speaking, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi pledged support for Oba Ogunlano’s Movements of West Africa (MOWA) initiative.
Ooni Ogunwusi while recieving the MOWA team lauded Oba Ogunlano for the initiative and showered blessings on him.
Oba Ogunwusi reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting Yoruba culture and tradition across the globe.
The event was spiced up with Yoruba cultural dance to the admiration of guests and tourists who stormed the Ooni palace for MOWA 2024.
