ONSA, CSCS assemble cybersecurity experts to address AI-driven threats

The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), in collaboration with the Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS), has assembled stakeholders who are cybersecurity experts to address the issues of Artificial Intelligence-triggered cyber threats.

Daily Trust reports that ONSA, through its National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCCC) has been expressing concerns over growing cyber threats which are being generated by AI, particularly in the banking sector.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, yesterday, the Coordinator of NCCC, Ahmad Abubakar, said the conference will hold in the nation’s capital on October 17, to build a more secure and resilient cybersecurity landscape in the country.

“The partnership between ONSA and CSCS for this conference underscores our shared commitment to advancing Nigeria’s cybersecurity capabilities.

“We believe that through collective efforts, innovative solutions and strategic dialogue, we can better safeguard our digital infrastructure from the complex challenges that we face today,” Abubakar said.

On his part, the Managing Director of CSCS, Haruna Jalo-Waziri, told journalists that the growing dependence on technology and digital infrastructure has led to an increase in cyber threats.
