Onobrakpeya, Okundaye win NGA awards

On Tuesday, April 18, the National Gallery of Arts (NGA) in Abuja acknowledged artists who have made significant contributions to the expansion and development of the visual arts sector in particular and the arts sector in general.

Legendary artist, Prof. Bruce Onobrakpeya was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.”

According to Oji Onoko, Awards Coordinator & Deputy Director Overseeing the Office of Director, Information Services Department, National Gallery of Art, the artist, who will be 91 years old in August, “is an acclaimed master printmaker globally and acknowledged for his coaching of a younger generation of artists.”
