The Nigeria Customs Service, Area 2 Command, Onne, Rivers State, has said it generated an unprecedented sum of N301 billion in revenue this year, 2023.
The Customs Area Comptroller, Area 2 Command, Comptroller Baba Imam, who disclosed this at the command’s end-of-year event and recognition of excellence at Onne, said the command under his watch achieved about 90 per cent of its revenue target of N336bn for the year.
He said the command did not only meet up with its revenue target or beat last year’s revenue but remarkably increased by over N40 to N50 billion in addition to what was realized last month.
He said in July, the command had a total revenue of N38 billion which, he said, is an unprecedented record in the history of the command in one month.

“In the area of revenue, the command has recorded about N301 billion as at this moment. The command did not only meet up with its revenue target or beat last year’s revenue but it remarkably increased over 40 to 50 billion naira in addition to what was realized last month.
He commended the officers of the command for resiliently carrying out their tasks and obligations in the way and manner prescribed by the law.
