The Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Emomotimi Agama, has urged stakeholders in the capital market have been urged to strive to build a capital market that is fair, transparent, and inclusive.
Agama stated this in a Christmas Message to the capital market Community in Abuja.
Agama who wished them and their loved ones a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year, also reminded them that only a fair and transparent capital market can attract both local and foreign investors.
According to him, “As we celebrate the joy, love, and magic of the season, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders in the Nigerian capital market for your tireless efforts, commitment, and resilience. Remember that we need to remain steadfast and resolute in our determination to have the capital market that we desire.

While thanking issuers, investors, intermediaries, and other market participants, for their continued trust and confidence in the market, the SEC DG said their contributions have been instrumental in shaping the Nigerian capital market into a vibrant and attractive destination for investors.
