The gunmen numbering about 20 were said to have attacked Nbiyak, a village under Kadarko district of Wase LGA in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A member of the community Samuel Wuyep who confirmed the attack said, “there have been rumors that some people suspected to be Fulanis were planning to attack our village. We reported the rumor to security agencies in the area, but they ignored the report.”
The Special Task Force (STF) Media and Information Officer, Captain Salisu Mustapha said “there was an attack in a village called Nbiyak in Wase LGA morning in which several houses were burnt down and one person killed.”
Mustapha said the STF has redeployed more troops to the area  and presently calm has returned.
