At least, one person is feared killed while many, including policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) sustained injuries when suspected urchins who had allegedly hijacked the #EndSARS protest attacked a police patrol team at Adekunle Bus Stop, on the Herbert Macaulay way, Yaba, in Lagos State.
Eye witness alleged that the deceased was trying to escape from the scene when he was suddenly knock down by a vehicle.

The witness who identified himself as Quadri Adewale, a shop owner at Sabo market, Yaba said news of the attack forced traders in the market to hastily close shops for fear of attack.

It was learnt that the urchins looted shops and carted away goods on the play.
Daily Trust also learnt that passersby were attacked and their valuables including phones stolen from them.
“The hoodlums were just throwing stones at any vehicle they saw. The RRS patrol team was just on normal routine patrol of the area when they ran into the hoodlums.
“The attack caused heavy gridlock on Herbert Macaulay way as drivers hastily reversed their vehicle in order to escape from the area, thereby causing more confusion in the process.
“The Policemen in the patrol vehicle abandon their van and fled the scene”
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the attack said he would issue a statement to that effect later
