An unidentified man, on Friday, lost his life in an early morning accident along the ever-busy Oshodi road in Lagos.

The accident involved an articulated vehicle, a Bus and a Honda cab.

It was learnt that the trailer with registration number KJA 138 XD had a brake failure before ramming into the bus with registration number AAA 338 XY and the cab numbered FKJ 163 AW.

Emergency responders, led by the state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), were notified of the incident this morning, it was learnt.

According to LASEMA, an adult male lost his life while two others sustained various injuries.

“The victim has been bagged and handed over to Police officers from Akinpelu Police Station, while the trailer and other vehicles were recovered from the road with the agency’s super metro and also handed over to the Police,” said the spokesman of LASEMA, Mr Nosa Okunbor.

In a related development, a truck laden with two 20ft container and a Toyota Corolla car was involved in an accident at Stadium Bridge inward Barack.

It was gathered that the truck had mechanical fault before losing control while at the same time moving at high speed.

“This caused the container to fall on the red Toyota Corolla, trapping the driver- an adult male who sustained a severe leg injury,” LASEMA DG/CEO, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said.

LASEMA said the trapped victim was quickly extricated and attended to by the agency’s paramedics at the scene alongside Lasambus before being moved to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The victim, it was learnt, is a staff of Havana Hospital which is located in Surulere, Lagos but he is said to be responding to treatment.
